Cape Girardeau Public Schools is excited to announce that Dr. Brock Crowley has been hired as the District’s new Assistant Superintendent of Support Services.
Dr. Crowley has served as an administrator with CGPS for eight years, including the last four years as Director of the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center (CTC). During his time at the CTC, Dr. Crowley has overseen programs that prepare students for in-demand careers, strengthened partnerships with local industry, and supported hands-on learning opportunities for both high school and adult students.
“Dr. Crowley has been a visionary leader at the Cape CTC,” said Dr. Howard Benyon, Superintendent of Cape Girardeau Public Schools. “From guiding the construction and opening of our new advanced welding center to strengthening partnerships with local employers, he has consistently expanded opportunities for students. He has a proven track record of building strong programs, supporting staff, and always keeping students at the center of every decision. His experience overseeing complex operations at the CTC, along with his ability to collaborate across departments, makes him an excellent fit for the role of Assistant Superintendent of Support Services. We are confident he will continue to serve our students, staff, and community with integrity and vision in this new position.”
Dr. Crowley holds a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from William Woods University. He also earned his master’s and specialist degrees from William Woods, and his undergraduate degree from Southeast Missouri State University.
Originally from Ellsinore, Missouri, Dr. Crowley brings both regional roots and a deep commitment to public education to his new role with Cape Girardeau Public Schools. Dr. Crowley will begin his new position on July 1, 2026 replacing Mr. Josh Crowell, who is retiring after many years of dedicated leadership and service to CGPS.
