Drop off and Pickup Procedures
Many of our students are brought to school by private transportation. In order to assure the safety of our students, we have some guidelines that we follow for student drop-off and pick-up. When bringing children to school in the morning, please pull the vehicle to the front of the parking lot near the front entrance of the building. There, safety patrol students will meet the car, open the door, and help the transported students get to the sidewalk safely. We ask that the adults remain in the vehicle in order to allow the drop-off to occur quickly and safely.
In the afternoon, car riders stay in the gym while parents wait in the car. School personnel will scan the student information card at each car, which will allow teachers to line the students accordingly. When a line of cars have been scanned and the students have gotten in line order, the students are released to walk to the appropriate cars. Parents remain in their cars to wait for the arrival of the students.
Clippard parents are welcome to visit our school at any time. It is necessary, however, that the car riders have a car waiting for them at the sidewalk when school is dismissed. If you are picking up students after spending time in the building, please go to the vehicle at 3:00 p.m. in order to be ready for the pick-up at the appropriate time. If you are coming to Clippard to pick-up students in the afternoon, please stay inside the vehicle so that the traffic can flow smoothly. Your child will be escorted to you when your vehicle is at the front of the building. For all of us at Clippard, the safety of the students must come first! Thank you for your assistance in this important matter.
